About Lynn Kenner, founder and
president of Children’s University:
Ms. Kenner is an inspiring educator and administrator
with nearly three decades in elementary education.
Ms. Kenner holds a Master of Science in Early Childhood
Education from Alabama A&M University and a Bachelor
of Science in Elementary Education from Stephen F.
Austin State University.
A few of her contributions to the field of children’s
learning include:
Founder of Children’s University a real world learning environment bringing gifted and talented programs to children of all abilities. This virtual
fantasyland for learning educates more than 450 pre-K through 6th grade students. Ms. Kenner and her exceptional staff of more than 50 offer a changing series of timely, realworld applications to keep learning meaningful and fun. CU students consistently rank in the 94th percentile on standardized tests.
Award winning visionary with a passion for bringing out the special gifts of each child, Ms. Kenner’s awards include: President George H.W. Bush’s Point of Light; Arlington Independent School District’s Wall of Fame, American Biographical Institute’s 2001 Woman of the Year and Finalist for the Legacy of Women Award.
