The Department of Business
introduces students to business concepts and theories by helping them create and run their own businesses. Students form companies, develop products or services and market them to the CU community at our annual
CU Kids Expo Event.
Our CU Student Job Fair
, in partnership with American Airlines, prepared students for part-time employment at CU. Break-out sessions covered résumés, interviews and good employee behavior. Other student-run ventures include construction
of
CU’s Treehouse
and our much celebrated
Goat Wedding
. Through
these courses, students take the first steps toward financial literacy,
entrepreneurship, career awareness and business management. Business professionals from the community serve as guest speakers and mentors to bring a real world focus to this one-of-a-kind program.
